PPBUI

Let’s practice our English.

Final Review August 22, 2007

Filed under: teacher — ppbui @ 8:26 am

As your teacher, I appreciate your idea to improve your writing skill through this blog. Even the term was over, you are still enthusiastic to post your writings. You made every efforts to improve your English in spite of fact that your English were actually embarrassing for students at your level.

I always said that you were in GE-9! In this level, you had to pay more attention to accuracy. Accuracy, accuracy, and accuracy. Not only fluency. Speaking frankly, your achievement until the final test didn’t make me satisfied. Teaching you made me so hopeless that I had no idea about what to do. You were the worst students I’ve ever taught.

Let me give a brief evaluation on what you had achieved. First, Adhe. You were the most active student, especially on speaking. However, you need to pay more attention to grammar. You were master in memorizing vocabularies. Sometimes you even memorized unimportant words. (Do you want to compile a dictionary?) It made me wonder how you said that you wanted to have more quality time with your daughter, whereas at the same time you wasted your time to memorize vocabularies that you would not use them in real conversation.

Then, Wahyu. You need to avoid bad habit in speaking: mixing English and bahasa Indonesia. (Do you want to replace Jarwo Kwat’s position?). Moreover, you will have kid soon. I know you are a good daddy. Please don’t teach your kid with that confusing language.

Indri. You need to practice your speaking more frequently, no matter how you do it. It will be better if you get married with an English speaking guy so you have long-lasting partner in learning English. And the more important thing, it will be free of charge. You need to pay nothing.

Indah. You rarely took part in speaking activity but you were good in writing. Keep writing, who knows someday you will be a great writer. If it’s necessary, you can leave your recent job and switch it to writing job like journalist, novelist, or typist, as long as not pipist.

And, Joseph. I can conclude nothing about you since you were absent more frequently than present. You were the strangest student: you paid for English course but you didn’t attend the class. What was in your mind when you submitted for the course?

The last, Sholeh. You were the best student. Although you didn’t attend final test, you are allowed to join next level if you want, for free.

Ok, that’s my brief review.

Subject: The Proverb (Ambition and Achievement in Studying English)

By: Indah SR

By learning you will teach, by teaching you will learn.” (Latin Proverb)

I found that proverb one day when I was tidying up my room. It was included in an old calendar standing on my desk. It had directly attracted my eyes at the first time I read it, although at that time I didn’t really care about the meaning. However, I kept it in my mind still, and began to think about that.

Actually, in fact, I have been both, as a teacher and a student. From Monday to Friday, I was a teacher because that’s my work. And on Saturday, when I was learning English at PPB UI, it made me as a student.

I started working as a private teacher when I was in college. After graduating, I started working in an institution and I chose Science as a subject I would teach because it’s the most related with my background, I supposed. However then, through my experience, I found out; there were two most favorite subjects which many people always asked for (to teach them). Mathematic and English. Without reducing the other subjects, if you are expert in one or both these subjects, there will be many opportunities coming toward you. You don’t need to worry about the lack of job anymore, and it’s also possible for you to get a success (in career) soon.

Therefore, I decided to enlarge my subject in teaching. I chose Math first because it’s easier, and I realized I was never good in English, too :p. Actually, it didn’t satisfy me yet. I still desired to teach English :p. So, I told my boss that I had been taking an English Course at PPB UI. Then she said she would let me teach English when I had already been in advance level.

Finally, I was in advance level now. I started teaching English, and so far I enjoyed it. Although I had absolutely no experience in teaching English or any other social subjects before, luckily, I had some friends who were already English teachers, so I can ask advise and learn a lot from them. And of course, I have learned so much from my English teachers at PPB UI, too. I observed their methods in teaching English and often time I adopted it to teach my students :p. By learning you will teach. Yep, it’s worked for me ;-D.

What’s about ‘by teaching you will learn’? Well, children now are very, very clever, outspoken, and having big enthusiasm. As their teacher, they expect you so much, trust you are the cleverest one, who always knows the answers about everything. So, by teaching them, I have learned to be patient and kind. I have learned to speak always the truth as they expect me to do. The most important of all, I have learned to equip myself all the time, be ready for their ‘unsuspected’ questions by improving my skill and knowledge as the best as I can.

Well, it seems that I’ve just become to realize what the proverb means, now ;-D.

How can we benefit from English? August 20, 2007

Filed under: Joseph — ppbui @ 3:30 pm

Stepping into the future and advance career are the most our plan. So why must we learn English?

I agree that new words and expressions are coined and existing words change their meaning as society, culture and technology progress. One of the biggest advantages of learning English as a second language is that you will be able to discover a world of information.

Joint English course and other activities those are related to English skills can radically improve our performance and broaden our work horizons. As we know, The Internet is a worldwide, publicly accessible network of interconnected computer networks. It helps to enrich our life . On internet, learning English can be fun. We can chat (by typing, voice and video), sending and receiving email, join forums and mailing lists, even we can make and join a socialnetwork website. Once you saved your work then you publish to the net ( like this website).

Although we are busy, we manage our time to attend English class. However, we’ve missed the class for many times ( like me, because the change in work shifts was made.). But we have to appreciate our effort during those terms *cheers*. What we can achieve from learning English are fluency in speaking, better communication skills, confidence in meetings, successful social and business connections, and also better understanding in professional situations.

Of course those are the results by improving our English skills. Those can be reached by choosing your suitable way to learn. Finally, learning English with enjoyment and fun is the most effective way. All the BEST for you :)

My Goal-Setting for 2007-2010 August 19, 2007

Filed under: Wahyu — ppbui @ 10:14 am

I have a habit that every time I step into a new phase of my life for example study in a college or before new year, I set my plan to achieve my goals. It kinds of short term goals and mid-term goals. Than, in the end of the term, I score the achievement whether it was good, moderate or still under the targets. It is an interesting activity, imaging what is your destination, how you reach your destination, how long you will achieve it, how you measure the accomplishment, and the most important is you should sure that it is realistic and achievable.

Basically, I categorize my goals into six categories. Those categories are:
1. Family
2. Financial
3. Physical
4. Mental
5. Social
6. Spiritual

1st. About Family
Now my wife is pregnant. Her pregnancy is 30 weeks. So, we’ll a baby girl soon. For me, they are the reason to live and make a living. I want to spend more time with them and try doing great time such as travelling, visiting relatives, sporting, gardening. I wanna be a good daddy for my child and a humble husband for my wife. I will assure that they have my love, attention, and protection so that they feel daddy with them. Until next three years, I want to have two more children. I wanna have a big family. But of course if my wife agree with the idea because she is the one who will pregnant. The success indicator is my family feel happy and safe with me on their side.

2nd. About financial condition
I want to dedicate my self to my current workplace. My company already provides me with adequate salary and employee benefits. If we talk about enough, I must admite that we’ll never be feel enough with our salary because living expenses always rise. I don’t have ambition to accumulate a great wealth. Just enough to make a life, to provides food, education, medicine, vacation, and saving for my old day. Just as that simple. But I have a plan to run a small business. In spite of getting additional income, I want to utilize my relatives and others to get a job. Now, I am on the way of creating job for others. I plan to open warung (small canteen). I already make a preparation, may be after the Idl Fitri October 2007 the warung will be opened. If the warung run successly, I’ll create another business. Small business that can create job opportunities for others. And about my core job as an economist, I wanna make a academic paper. Just one, in this year. The success indicator is academic paper and give job opportunities.

3rd. Physical aspect
This year is really great year for me. I rarely experince a serious ill. Just cold but it will gone without taking a medicine. Just adequate rest and food. I’ll use my time effectively to come to gym. May be three or four times a week. It gives good impact to my health condition. I’ll keep this habit. I’ll combine with swimming and good food. I want to manage my sleeping time. It seems I don’t give enough sleep. Time management and work effectively is the solution, I think. The success indicator is less ill and good body mass index.

4th. Mental
Mental represents knowledge and wisdom. In the next years, I want to take my Ph.D program abroad. This year is the second year, I have preparing my self. I go to PPB to improve my english. I do my work carefully in other to mastery it. I read articles and journals about economics, finance, and else. I go to gym to improve my health and endurance. I study economics, mathematics, and statistics by myself. I also plan to take a far distance study to complement my lack of skill with certain knowledge. I hope I can focus myself with this important goal and ease the temptation to enter the comfort zone with all its indulgeness. I want to give examples for my family that knowledge is very important to help you to reach your destination and money doesn’t. Money is only a medium of exchange and money can’t buy anything. You get wisdom by knowledge not money. The success parameter is study for doctoral degree.

5th. Social aspect
I want to involve my self in social organization. I’ll start with employee organization in my office. I have an interest in education and health. I already donate every month to Indonesia Heart Organization. I want to involve more, especially in facilitating education for the needy. They deserve to get equal treatmen in education. We have to enlight them with knowledge. The success parameter is being able to join with education for all organization.

6th. Spiritual aspect
Every sunday morning, I and my wife usually go to Masjid Agung Sunda Kelapa to listen to Pengajian. It was Pak Edy Setiadi and his family who introduce me with the pengajian. They have very interesting topic every week. I want to make this as habitual in my family. I also want to continue go to the mosque near my rental house to pray at Subuh. It’s rather difficult because I usually woke up after adzan (prayer calling) finish. But I thing it’s managable.

That’s all my goals for the next three years. I don’t want to make such ambitious goals. In my opinion, these goals already hard to achieve although it still have a probability to achieve. I hope it can guide me to achieve what is important for me and my family. I’ll review again every year or at different phase of my life. Wish me luck and good luck for you too.

My goals to achieve in the next five to ten years ahead August 17, 2007

Filed under: Adhe — ppbui @ 1:18 pm

Have you ever made a list of what you should have done by the time you are 20, 30, 40, 50,….?

Before sharing what I wish I can achieve in the next five or ten years, let me share my own experiences…

In order to improve my life and to be a better person, I follow a friend’s suggestion to make a resolution ; since 2004, every New Year I make a list of some things I want to do through a year ahead. I set goals. The list help me more focus on the issues that are important to me. I remember writing down my resolution in January 2006 :

1. Do more exercises, get a healthier life

2. Be a more patient person

3. Second honeymoon with my hubby; travel to an exotic island in Indonesia or Asia we haven’t been to

4. Get an investment plan

5. Spend more quality time with my family especially my daughter

6. Buy a car with my own money

I even marked in my desk calendar with those goals. By the end of 2006, I accomplished only four of the six, which are number 1,2, 4 & 6 and the results are : for no. 1} I recently join a sport club and swim at least once a week there, for no. 2} I take a deep breath and count to ten before a burst of verbally harsh out of my mouth, for no.4} I invest 10% of my income each month in a market share in a bank, and for no.6} now I have my very own car (a secondhand car I bought from a friend) I bought with my own money so I don’t have to borrow my in law’s car anymore!

A bit disappointed that I can’t go for the second honeymoon with my hubby, but we can do that in 2007. What I regret so much is that I can’t attend and support my daughter in dancing and modeling competition held by her school (she won the 3rd prize!). Because of the office works, client appointments, and a long list of to-dos in my office made me missed one of my proud and precious moment in my life. The two unfulfilled goals of 2006 are written down in my 2007 resolution. As yet, I am still trying to achieve that with other new goals in 2007.

In the next five or ten years ahead, I have some things to achieve :

1. Go to Makkah as a pilgrim

2. Buy a land in a village where I can plant vegetables and fruits trees

3. Be an English teacher for children

4. Become a stay-at-home mom

5. Traveling to exotic and unique places

6. Having my own company which has at least 50% handicapped people as employees

7. Help others more

No matter what will happen to my life, I believe strongly that positive minds, working hard, love and support from family and friends can carry me through whatever lies ahead.

May Allah the almighty help me to achieve and to accomplish my goals, amin….. (so

serious, hah..? hehehe….)

Good Luck with the final test friends!

Love, Love,

Adhe.

btw, MERDEKA!!! today 17th August is our 62nd Independence Day.

FUTURE PLANS August 16, 2007

Filed under: Uncategorized — ppbui @ 7:30 am

People said that if you wanted to get a quick progress in your life you had to to plan it carefully.  I thought it was an excelent suggestion. Plan your life was the good way to keep you on track.  As example, if you had a plan to go to college.  They already had the curriculums and education programs for each semester.  You had to follow it so you could through the entire education in  4-5 years.  Good plans help you achieve good results, get through college educations on time.

In some trainings about self achievement or management skills, they kept asking ‘ what is your plans for next 3, 5 or 10 years ahead ? ’.  That question made us think and analized our goals and what we had done, until that time, to achieve it.  As a young worker, I already had a classic targets.  My career goals were become a manager in 5 years and had my own company in 10 years.

Beside my career plans, I also have personal goals which is having a beautiful life both in physically and spiritually.  Some people might say that my personal goals are too abstract and too classic. Well maybe that’s true because the success of it, for me, only can be measured in my heart.  Maybe somebody has same personal goals and the success of that goals could be different for each person.

As I mention above about my future plans, sadly I must say that until now I haven’t achieved them yet.  So I changed my future plans a year ago.  Until now, my future plan is getting married.  The reason that made me change my future plan is because after you get married, your personal plans are going to change to two person’s plans.  As a family, we should discuss our life plans with your life partner.  So until I get married, I haven’t had some real plan about my life.

It isn’t like that I don’t have a life direction, I do have a plan.  Therefore, before getting there, I stepped on  to and finished some little goals to achieve the big ones.  These days, my life plans are  live your life everyday, enjoy it, get more money J and gain more knowledge.  Above all that, I also try to improve my spiritual side every day.

These are some wisdom words which I picked from some sources.  Hopefully, it will rise our spirit to be a better person in the future. ‘ Optimism is the faith that leads to achievement,  nothing can be done without hope and confidence. Keep your face to the sunshine and you can not see the shadow. ‘

Title: Reading Perfume The Story of A Murderer; Synopsis and Review

By: Indah SR

I always love reading. And I am glad I am free now (because it’s school holiday ;-D) so, I have many times to do that such favorite activities. One of recent books I have read titled: Perfume the Story of a Murderer. It was an International best seller, thriller novel written by Patrick Suskind, a Famous French Author. In Indonesian edition, it’s published by Penerbit Dastan Az zahra. I find this novel is very interesting. Have you read it?

The main character in the story was Jean-Baptiste Grenouille, an unusual man who was born with no body’s scent but had an amazingly incredible sense of smell. The setting took place in Paris, century 18th. Born as an unwanted child, he was handed over to the church to be taken care. But no one wanted to carry him. They all though he was a strange, wicked baby. That’s why the church threw the poor baby Grenouille to an orphanage1) led by Madame Gaillard, a zombie woman with no heart.

The Grenouille’s childhood was really unpleasant, if we could say. For the reason he didn’t know, the other children in the house didn’t want to make friends with him. Even Madame Gaillard also felt the same. She often felt a ‘strange’ atmosphere with his presence and that situation had annoyed her. As the result, when he was eight, she had got a nerve enough to sell him to a tanner2). Grenouille worked for him for years, and his boss threatened him badly likely he was a slave.

In the ages fourteen, he finally got a ‘better’ job. He worked for a famous perfume maker in Paris. For the first time in his life, he realized his gift; sense of smell. Not only able to mark all kind of aromas on the earth precisely, his nose could even sort them specifically into the substances. From his boss, he learned a lot about all methods of making a finest perfume, and he was a genius and quick learner. No need a long time for him to be an expert. Deep inside in his heart, he had an ambition; to be a greatest specialist in perfume.

After his boss let him go, he decided to left Paris, starting his journey. During his wandering, he finally found out the reason why he had never been liked by all people. Before it, he just assumed those people hated him because of his appearance (in fact, he wasn’t really a good looking person). Actually, people always kept themselves away from him because they weren’t aware with him. He didn’t have body’s scent as a normal human. That’s why people couldn’t recognize his presence easily.

So, he started making experiment to create his own perfume. Not just an usual perfume, but a special perfume which could make him would be liked by people (this is the part of the story which I interest most; when the writer tells about the process of making perfume, he describes it with so many details). And he did it. People liked him so much now. By the moment, he had already hated people because of his unpleasant childhood. Therefore, he didn’t want just to be liked by people. He wanted more.

Going back to Paris as a rich man, Grenouille started his plan. By the time, the murders happened. 25 young women died mysteriously, all murders were identical. What’s connection between our man and this case? Just be patient, because the climax ending had been set in the last page.

Usually I choose the books which I read for two reasons. The story itself and the style writing that writers use in the story. In my opinion, the second one is the most important. A usual story is possible to be much more interesting if it’s written well. In spite of that, a good story can be boring and disappointing if it’s written badly.

And this book, Perfume, has both. The story is unique, unusual, and it’s written brilliantly, too. Using the main character as a point of view, the writer tells the story by making a dialog with his readers that I rarely find in the other books, and I like it. In some parts of the story, the writer even seems to talk directly to the readers, for example, like this below:

because we would leave Madame Gaillard and never see her again in this story, would you mind let me put several sentences to show her rest of life… (p. 57-58)3)

Furthermore, the writer also not forgets to put some humors in the story that can make us laugh, or at least, smile, by reading it. As the result, this thriller novel becomes not ‘frightening’ as it does. It’s also even possible if finally we’ll be emphatic with the main character, that in fact; just a normal human who was very, very alone…

Well, at last, as a reader, I think I just agree with Le Figaro, that’s said, “it’s never the same any others books you ever read.”

Horror Story at the Faculty’s Laboratory July 13, 2007

Filed under: Wahyu — ppbui @ 4:08 am

by Wahyu

When I was in college year, I had a strange experience. I studied at one of state university in Surabaya. The location is on the eastern Surabaya. The campus is so big with its old building. When the night came, the campus looks dark and so quite, because there is no academic activity in the night. Especially after 9 P.M.

My department is located near a small river that divided the campus with old trees and bushes on each side. The wind usually hard and cold because the area still surrounded by swamp. Although there are official house for lecturers and located in the area of the campus, but it’s far enough from the faculty.

Students usually did some activities in the campus area. From playing chess, poker, internet, did homework, study in the 24 hours library, until in the lab. The activities usually dominated by male student, although female student also take part.

The Natural Science Faculty, where I studied, has a legend. The legend related with a female student that was killed because dropped from the top of the 4th floor building some years ago. She was suicide because she had broken with her boyfriend. She was in her last year. She was dropped into the small river near the building and died. Another story is there was a murder in the indoor basketball field. The victim was a female. It happened during my study. But until now the case still mystery. The crime area was near our faculty. Those are some legends in our campus.

Now, come back to my strange experience. One night I did my computer assignment in a computer laboratory in the faculty. I started from 10 P.M. with 5 of my friends. We played MP3 from our computer with rock music, the situation so lively and we chatted about many things from assignment until woman. It was boys talk. When the clock showed 0.00 A.M. 2 of my friends began to sleep at the floor using a mat. And than one by one, they began to sleep until me and one of my friends. We still talked each other about the assignment and we concentrated in our own computer.

When the clock showed 2 A.M., there was somebody called my name. She called couple times. I thought it was my friend trying to terrify me. Than I said to him don’t terrify me, it’s not funny. But she still called me. Suddenly I looked back, at his place, but I didn’t see him. “Where the hell is he?” I asked myself. I looked at the back on the floor, I saw all of my friends had slept. “Wow, so who called my name?” I kept asked myself. I didn’t dare to move my body and when I looked outside at the window of the laboratory, I saw shadow of somebody. It’s look like a woman. But it’s not clear. At that time, I was really afraid because I had never experience anything like that.

And then, I kept my face looked at the monitor although my mind couldn’t concentrate. I tried to yell to my friend to wake up but they didn’t hear at all. I heard the woman kept called my name. My hand felt cold and my body felt eerie. I didn’t know how long it had been going on and still I sat on my chair without noise. After some times frightened, suddenly I heard adzan subuh. My computer clock showed it’s already 4 A.M. and didn’t hear anybody call me anymore. I moved from my chair and walked headed to my friends. I woke them up, and said that I want to back to my boarding room. One of my friend only said yes.. yes.. and then back to his sleep.

I took my jacket and opened the door and than went out from the library to parking area. Although I was still afraid but it was significantly reduced because I believed that ghost is afraid of adzan. I turned on my motorcycle and went to my boarding room. After arrived, I took wudhu and prayed. After prayed, I slept and woke up at 10 A.M. when I felt hungry. I saw that my friends already arrived in our boarding room. I asked one of my friend to woke up and had a dinner. During having dinner, I told to him that I experienced frightening times in the laboratory last night. I said that I yelled to woke up them, but they didn’t hear at all. He looked scared also and said he didn’t want to go to laboratory by himself. Quickly, the story soon circulated among the student. But, we only scared just for few days. The laboratory looked empty. After few days, the laboratory began filled with students who did their assignment. They said that they were afraid of ghost but they were more afraid if they failed the course.

Talking About… June 23, 2007

Subject: Traveling Experience
Posted by: Indah SR

Talking about traveling experience, I had once experience of the study tour that I did when I was in my last grade in college long years ago. I took part in a group consisted of five students altogether, each from different faculties, so we had never known each other before. We had been placed at Tapen Village, Wanadadi District, Banjarnegara, Central Java. During the study tour, we were all staying at the village head’s house, and we had to stay in the village for three weeks.

Tapen was a nice, small traditional village which had only a very little area. Most the villagers worked as traditional farmers. Long time ago, Tapen used to be a big village, but since the government commanded to build an enormous dam that had taken more than 80% area of the village, so only less 20% area had been left. Nevertheless, believed it or not, the village had already got a stadium! How amazing… you could imagine; a very small village with only a few villagers, enclosed a large sports ground in it?

Staying in a traditional village for a long time was really a new experience for me. I felt surprised when I first knew that villagers were all relatives (?!) Furthermore, I found out that people had specific customs and behavior. They were more sensitive and too much curious about everything. It was really different with people in big cities, who were less care and more apathetic. The situation made me was rather unconfident at the beginning, because I was supposed to speak carefully (and also behave well ;-D) every time I needed to interact with the villagers. Luckily, I had overcome with that soon.

In the other hand, they were the most cooperative and sociable people I ever knew. They respected us so much, and they also liked to greet us all the time. One of my friends had got a funny experience with that. One day while he was riding motorcycle along the street, he saw some people came out from their house just to greet him, so he must nod his head quickly over and over again, every time he passed the people. ;-D

Obviously, we had a lot of agendas we had to do for the village. For all you knew, it was very tiring, for the reason I was not excited to talk more about that. Well, of course, we did the study tour not just for working at all, more than that; we looked forward something fun and more fascinating to do.

By the way, we had a favorite activity we always did in the morning, and we had never missed it. For the purpose, we were willing to wake up early, when the sky was still dark. Then together we walked to the dam. After we reached the dam, we were just sitting in silence for a while, waiting for the sun rising. At the beginning, we could only see the dark water. Then the color of the water changed slowly, and finally we could see the sun started rising at the horizon… It looked like a great fire ball floated from the water surface and slowly moved to the sky. According to us, it was really beautiful.

Two days before the last day, companied with several youngster from the village (we had asked them to be our guides ;-D), we traveled to Dieng Plateau, where was located in Wonosobo. It just took about an hour by bus from Banjarnegara. We stayed at a villager’s house for one night, whose family had served us very well. In the second day, we continued the trip to the mountain by walking, because there was no public transportation at all. However, it was not really a problem, and we enjoyed it so far. The scenery of mountain range along the journey was amazingly beautiful, it made all of us were so satisfied at the time.

In the last day, the villagers made a farewell party for us. At the night before our leaving, almost the villagers filled in the village head’s house. The village head’s wife also served us so many delicious food and drinks. We all sat together in group, had a long talk and shared each other. The atmosphere was so close and friendly. I felt both happy and sad at same time, because I realized that I had never met such kind people like them again.

It had been happened for long years ago, but I still remembered it well. Before the students came to the village, the lectures had told us what we had to do for the villagers; we were supposed to teach them many things and counsel them well, but I considered it was not really true. The villagers had probably learned a few things from us, but in fact, we had exactly learned more from them.

This is the kind of activity i like. Talking about traveling makes you imaginizing about a journey to a beautiful, clean, quiet place with fresh air, also meet new people and see different culture. No matter how near or far your trip is, still, you can find something exciting about it. Maybe it’s because you see something different (or maybe everything, if you travel to another country … :P ). Usually, when you have a plan to travel, your destination will be a place far from your city, right? You can’t say you’re traveling around Jakarta. In my opinion, it’s not traveling, but sightseeing …. :) japan.jpg

venesia1.jpg

First of all, preparation. Money, of course, you’ll trip to nowhere if you leave home without it. Things you have to prepare, let’s see…. Personal things (include clothes, soap, comb) it’s very important during the trip. Although you’re in a journey, you don’t want to look dirty and smell bad. We always want to look fresh and clean…. and for girls… keep beautiful… :)

Wear loose, comfortable clothing and shoes or sandals, you don’t want your moves are limited by your clothes. Keeping your health is important, so don’t forget to bring some medications and vitamins you use on daily because maybe they hard to find. If you can find them in your destination, the dose can be higher or lower than your regular dose. It won’t cure you and, maybe, cause you allergic. Prepare cream for muscle to keep you away from a cramp. Just to keep safe, always bring your medication with you. Be careful of what you eat and drink, make sure it’s cooked and clean. Although with these precautions, maybe you still have stomach problems…. well, maybe it’s because your stomach hasn’t adjusted to the food.

It’s important to keep your health and stamina in a good condition. For example, sometimes you don’t know which way and how far the distance from one place to another, it’s lucky if you always on the vehicle, but if not maybe you have to prepare to walk to go there. Well, keep think positive…. you are more healthy and you can see the view nearer (not only look from the vehicle’s window) and directly get in touch with people along the way.

If you plan to travel abroad, don’t forget to bring your passport and visa with you, make copies and save it. It would be better if you know your embassy address and have a map of the place you’re visiting incase you lost. In my opinion. better be prepared than sorry. After all, you don’t want your vacation ruin by something unprepared.

austria.jpgWhen you think of traveling, for me, I always fell excited. Pack your thing and prepare a journey to see different places especially the ones with beautiful sceneries. The sea, river, mountain, valley, waterstream that very different from your homeland. Luckily if you’re traveling because of your work. Your job expect you to do traveling, such as a reporter or a writer, you have to make a article about an interesting place or holiday spot in a particular country. It’s free of charge (no need to spend money of your own), have a chance to go to another place and after that you are paid. Isn’t it wonderful ?
